Practice Principal

Joe qualified in 1992 and furthered his training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at some of the country's leading units for five years. During this time he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, England. He then undertook a three-year full time specialist training program in Prosthodontics at the London Dental School in 1998. This culminated in a Master of Clinical Dentistry from the University of London and Membership in Restorative Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh in 2001.

His clinical time is spent as a private referral practitioner at the Moor Park Specialist Dental Centre. He has also been a Clinical Lecturer for the Master of Clinical Dentistry program at the prestigious Eastman Dental Institute in the heart of London. Joe's clinical practice is restricted to the management of complex restorative problems and in the placement and restoration of dental implants.

Joe regularly lectures both in the UK and abroad on dental implants and is an extremely sought after speaker. He is currently a Fellow of the International Team for Implantology (ITI), Fellow of the International College of Dentists (ICD), Examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh for the Diploma in Implant Dentistry and Examiner for the General Dental Council and runs his own implant training and mentoring program for dentists in the London area.

He is the past Chairman of the Brent and Harrow section of the British Dental Association which he ran for five years and the Principal and founder of the Moor Park Specialist Dental Centre.

He lives in Buckinghamshire with his wife and 3 children and is a keen golfer.
Dr Rahul Goria

Specialist in Endodontics

Rahul graduated from the University of Manchester in 1998, being awarded the Frank Sutcliffe Memorial Prize in Dentistry. After completing vocational training, he worked as a Senior House Officer in the Department of Orthodontics and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Kings Lynn. During this time Rahul obtained his Membership in the Faculty of Dental Surgery from The Royal College of Surgeons of England.

Following a period in General Practice, Rahul undertook his specialist training in Endodontics at The Eastman Dental Institute. During this time he was awarded the Dentsply Maillefer Endodontic Prize for the highest clinical and academic achievement. Rahul obtained his Membership in Restorative Dentistry (Endodontics) from The Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2005 and went on to be registered as a "Specialist in Endodontics" with the GDC.

Rahul is also a part-time Clinical Instructor in the Department of Endodontics at The Eastman Dental Hospital and a Honorary Lecturer for the Endodontic teaching team, Department of Eastman CPD, Eastman Dental Institute.
Dr Nick Vyas

Specialist in Periodontics

Nick qualified as a dentist in 1990 and thereafter spent three years working in the Hospital Dental Service in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and in General Dental Practice, after which he commenced his Specialist training.

Nick gained a distinction in Periodontology from the Eastman Dental Institute in 1995 and his FDS RCS Ed in 1996 from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. He gained Specialist Accreditation in 1999 and is registered with the General Dental Council as a Specialist in Periodontics. Nick completed a Certificate course in Implantology at the University of London in 2003/2004. He is a member of BSP, EFP, AAP and the BDA.

He is currently Specialist Clinical Lecturer at The Royal London Dental Institute (QM&St.B), where he teaches postgraduate specialist trainees.

He is able to offer a full range of services in periodontology from initial assessment and treatment planning through to surgical procedures including crown lengthening, grafting and ridge augmentation. Soft tissue biopsies can be provided for referred patients upon request.

Having worked previously as a general dental practitioner for many years and as periodontal monitoring is ongoing, Nick understands the need for regular communication between the referring dentist, the patient and himself.

Outside of dentistry, Nick enjoys spending time with his family, all sports especially football, cricket and skiing, and he is threatening to take up golf too!
Dr Sheetal Patel
BDS MFDS RCS MSc Morth
Specialist in Orthodontics for Adults and Children

Sheetal qualified in 1995 and subsequently worked in general dental practice, oral and maxillofacial surgery and paediatric dentistry prior to specialising in Orthodontics. During this period she gained her Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

Sheetal has completed a three year specialist training programme in Orthodontics at the Eastman Dental Hospital. This culminated in the award of a research prize for her Masters degree and she gained the Intercollegiate Membership in Orthodontics. She has presented at the British and European Orthodontic Society Conferences. She teaches postgraduate students in Orthodontics within a hospital setting outside of her private practice.

Sheetal enjoys outdoor pursuits with her family, playing tennis and is an accomplished pianist. She is committed to continuing professional development and to delivering a quality, patient centred service.

Dr Nihir Shah
BSc BDS FDS RCS
Specialist in Oral Surgery

Nihir qualified from Kings College London in 1992 having also obtained an additional Basic Science Degree. He subsequently trained at some of the leading oral surgery units in the UK and passed the Fellowship Exam of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1996, an honour bestowed to very few dentists.

Nihir then worked in the local hospital network for many years where amongst other procedures he was involved in operating on major cancer cases and accident victims. He was actively involved in teaching and carrying out research.

He then embarked on a full time career in specialist dental practice both in the Moor Park Specialist Dental Centre and in the Central London. His expertise is in undertaking minor oral surgery as well as the more specialised area of implant related surgery. Most surgery is performed under local anaesthesia, however, intravenous sedation facilities are also available for anxious patients.

Nihir was Chairman of the Brent & Harrow British Dental Association and is actively involved in postgraduate teaching. He is a lecturer for the dental program for the Royal College of Surgeons. He is married with two children and is a keen SCUBA diver and skier.
Dr Michael Gilhooly

Specialist in Maxillofacial Surgery

Mick qualified in Dentistry from Guys Hospital in 1977 and then in Medicine from Charing Cross in 1986. He subsequently obtained his FRCS in 1989 and is currently the Lead Clinician and Consultant in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Central Middlesex and Northwick Park Hospitals.

Mick was previously a Consultant at the Luton & Dunstable Hospital for nine years. He is also the Specialty Advisor for the Royal College of Surgeons of England. His main interest is in Head & Neck Oncology, Salivary Gland Pathology and Oral Medicine and he has lectured both in the UK and internationally. He has admitting rights at the Clementine Churchill, Bishopswood and BUPA Harpenden private hospitals.
Eleni Verikaki

Specialist in Paediatric Dentistry

Eleni graduated from the Dental School of Athens University in 1998. She then went on to work in private practice, limited to paediatric dentistry, for a further two years. In 2000, Eleni completed with Merit her MSc in Paediatric Dentistry at Leeds Dental Institute and won the first prize for her research project. In the same year, she became a Fellow of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Canada (Paediatric Dentistry).

She currently works as a Senior Dental Officer in Paediatric Dentistry at the Community Dental Service at Harrow PCT where she exclusively provides dental care to children requiring advance and complicated treatment. Eleni had also been the lead clinician responsible for paediatric dental care under general anaesthetic at Northwick Park Hospital. Until recently, she worked as a part time Specialist Clinical Lecturer at the Department of Paediatric Dentistry at Kings and Guy's Dental Institute. Eleni is an active member of the British Society of Paediatric Dentistry and the European Academy of Paediatric Dentistry.

Eleni is always motivated by her love of children. She has been dedicated to creating a supportive and positive experience for them during their dental treatment; she feels that treating children and changing their attitudes towards dentistry is the most fulfilling aspect of her career.

When she is not treating children, she likes travelling, listening to music, reading books and most importantly spending quality time with her family.
